There's a lot that is scary and sad in our culture right now. Christians and non-Christians alike are looking for providers they can trust. Therapists who embody their personal and spiritual values are at an all-time premium.
In the past, mental health care, including therapy, has been full of stigma and uncertainty for Christians. We've been told to pray more, get into a small group, have faith, trust the promises. And yet, we still feel lonely, anxious, depressed, or addicted.
When you integrate your personal faith in Jesus into your counseling practice, you unlock a deeper level of healing. You bring your most authentic tools into the counseling room: yourself and the Holy Spirit.
And yet, when we go to grad school to become therapists, most of us don't receive any training whatsoever on incorporating faith in a real and powerful way. We ask about it on an intake and then that's it.
I'm here to help you feel bold about being who you are, a Christ-follower and a clinician, and sharing what you know about the clinical and biblical perspectives on healing. You just need someone to spur you on and guide you on this journey!
